Industrial Powders and Paint Services Ltd choose Grant OQ606 data logger for oven profiling and checking of cure times

Industrial Powders and Paint Services Ltd of Ipswich are suppliers of specialised coatings, paints, lacquers and pre-treatment plants for the powder and paint industry. They chose the Grant OQ606 data logger for oven profiling and to check cure times in order to maintain and improve performance and efficiency.

During installation and commissioning of ovens, IP & PS Ltd place the data logger and thermal barrier into the oven to be checked. Four thermocouples are used, placed in strategic areas, to monitor oven performance and accuracy. They use this system to check both on-line and boxed ovens.

The OQ606 was chosen for its accuracy, ease of use and repeatability which is essential to ensure 100% curing of the coating on variable metal masses.

In addition, IP & PS Ltd offer a consultancy service to the trade, checking customers’ own ovens using the Grant Instruments system.

The Grant OQ606 features sample rates that can be up to eight times a second or down to once in two hours. It is battery powered, using three AA cells, with up to 200 hours operation at default settings.

There are six thermocouple channels and measuring range is -200°C to +1300°C with a logger operating temperature of up to 65°C
