ADwin-Pro DAQ System for Test and Control Applications
CAS DataLoggers has teamed up with popular manufacturer Jager to offer customers the modular ADwin-Pro Data Acquisition and Control System, the ideal solution for ensuring high quality products through individual automotive component testing, working with sensors and ECU's, electrical component testing, control of servohydraulic systems, motion control, signal generation and high speed, synchronized data acquisition, and more. These powerful yet cost-effective systems support parallel, individually-controlled, real-time processes, all while running independently of a PC's operating system. This modular, expandable system features many channels, flexible configurations and field bus interfaces, including Profibus, Interbus, CANbus, and serial interfaces enabling use with a programmable controller. ADwin-Pro systems utilize a high-performance DSP processor for increased throughput and are securely housed in a benchtop or rack-mountable enclosure, available in AC or DC power versions.
ADwin-Pro data acquisition and control systems support parallel and individually-controlled real-time processes, all while running independently of a PC's operating system to provide deterministic operation with response times of 1 usecond or less. Tightly-coupled analog and digital inputs along with counters enable extremely low-latency operation. The system can also be configured for specific uses, utilizing a modular form factor offering different I/O boards and expansion plug-in modules to allow up to 480 analog or digital inputs or any combination of these in a single chassis. Users can easily expand the system to accommodate their future needs. These sophisticated systems also offers a variety of other I/O options including CANbus, SSI, Profibus/Fieldbus, RS-232/485, and signal conditioner modules.
The ADwin-Pro’s on-board DSP processor with its own local memory handles system management, data acquisition, on-line processing and control of outputs so that processing of each measurement can occur immediately after acquisition. Tightly coupled analog and digital inputs and counters provide extremely low latency operation for users’ applications. Communication with the host PC can be done through either a USB or via Ethernet.
The user-friendly ADwin software environment can be used under Windows (95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Windows 7) and LINUX or as a reliable stand-alone data acquisition system. ADwin also has drivers for many of the popular programming environments including VB, VC/C++, LabVIEW, TestPoint and others. Additionally, the ADbasic control language allows users to program mathematical operations and functions which are executed immediately after each sampling step, even at sampling rates as high as 1.25 MHz. Every sampled value or event can be evaluated in the same step so that a control function or online analysis can be performed immediately, and more than one processor can be used in the system for the most demanding applications requiring the highest possible throughput.
