CAS DataLoggers has partnered with trusted manufacturer AEMC Instruments to release the Simple Logger® II, Model L104, a 4-channel AC current recording device powered by alkaline batteries. Full scale ranges from 5A to 1200A are dependent on probe selection; compatible current probes include models MN93-BK, MN193-BK or SR193-BK (sold separately). Harmonic measurements are calculated from 64 samples taken on each AC cycle measured and are available in real-time using the included DataView^® software which allows users to perform a variety of recording tasks with easy and intuitive setup from a computer. These dataloggers see everyday use in common applications including single/split phase and 3-phase machine load monitoring, load profiling, harmonic current monitoring, neutral and ground current monitoring, intermittent problem detection and fault current detection.

This compact, lightweight device fits anywhere and is safety-rated at 600V CAT IV and 1000V CAT III. The Simple Logger^® II Model L104 enables TRMS voltage recording up to 1200A and stores TRMS measurements at user-programmable rates ranging from 8 times per second to 1 per day. TRMS calculations are performed on a single line cycle, and six LED indicators quickly and clearly display logger status. The data logger samples 64 times per cycle and utilizes 4 user-selectable storage modes to store up to 1,000,000 measurements in non-volatile memory. Additionally, the Model L104 provides up to 180 days or more of operation from standard alkaline batteries, dependent on sample rate.

Wireless Bluetooth data communication lets users view measurements in real-time, configuring the instrument and transferring data from the datalogger’s internal memory to a PC for monitoring, storing and/or analysis without needing to connect a cable.

FREE DataView^® software is also provided to handle a variety of recording tasks including harmonic current monitoring with easy and intuitive setup from a PC. This complete software package lets users configure all data logger functions and parameters from a computer including sample rate, recording length, channel configuration and more. DataView also enables data download and storage, real-time waveform display, trend graph creation, and analysis & report generation. Now users can create and store a complete library of configurations that can be uploaded to the data logger as needed, printing reports using standard or custom templates.
