CAS DataLoggers Provides Intelligent Industrial Automation
As a major distributor of monitoring and alarming systems, CAS DataLoggers now offers manufacturing and processing businesses the ideal device for their demanding applications—the dataTaker DT82I Intelligent Industrial Data Logger. This intelligent system connects to a wide range of sensors for flexible monitoring. The dataTaker provides an extensive array of communications features that include FTP, Modbus/SCADA connection, and more. The stand-alone DT82I is ideal for use in a wide variety of business-critical applications including machine and equipment monitoring, process overview and control, energy monitoring, machine down time/fault identification, and many others. All in all, the DT82I forms a completely self-contained solution which also includes FREE graphical interface software.
Near-Limitless Sensor Connection
The dataTaker DT82I’s Dual Channel concept allows up to 4 isolated or 6 common referenced analog inputs to be used in many combinations. These universal inputs not only allow temperature measurement from thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors, but will log almost any physical value including voltage, process current, resistance, strain, and frequency. Current measurements are listed on the dataTaker’s built-in display.
Your Choice of Communications Options:
The low-power DT82I offers users an impressive array of communications options, with support for Modbus sensors and SCADA systems, FTP and Web interfaces. Digital I/O channels and high speed counters can be used to monitor equipment status or to count events or pulses. The DT82I industrial data logger features many options to connect locally via USB, RS232 or Ethernet. The dataTaker can also connect with a modem or over the Internet for hassle-free data collection and access from the office, and can be easily programmed to accept the analog signals from sensors at predetermined intervals and store them for later downloading to a PC.
Large Memory and Ruggedness
With the standard unit able to store up to 10 million expandable data points, users can record as much or as little data as they need. After filling allocated memory, users can overwrite or stop logging once allocated memory is full, copy to USB memory or transfer via FTP, providing data via the internet or mobile phone network without any polling or specific host software. Meanwhile users can leave the dataTaker to log unattended using its internal battery for extensive operation.
All dataTaker data loggers are manufactured with a robust design providing high durability even in extreme industrial environments. These systems have survived not only rough handling and being dropped but also all manner of industrial accidents.
Advanced Alarm Capabilities
Users can quickly setup alarms by condition, commonly when parameters go too high, low, or otherwise outside their range. Users can also choose optional time periods to delay alarm responses, set digital outputs, transmit warning messages, archive data on alarm events, or execute any dataTaker command. This allows for sophisticated automated responses to faults, machine downtime and other potentially disastrous process indicators.
Free Graphical Interface Software
The built-in dEX web interface allows users to configure the DT82I, access logged data, view real-time measurements as mimics, trend charts or tables, and retrieve historical data for analysis. dEX runs directly from a web browser and can be accessed either locally or remotely, anywhere that a TCP/IP connection is available including worldwide over the Internet. Users can use any of the logger’s built-in communications ports to view dEX including Ethernet, USB and RS-232.
