Troubleshooting the Accsense A2-05 LAN-Wired Pod

No Blue Conn Light/Illuminated Stat1 Light

If you’re having issues connecting your Accsense A2-05 LAN-Wired pod, this brief walkthrough from CAS DataLoggers should soon help you resolve the problem. You can also view ourYouTube video detailing this process at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xBbOwtmQE4.

Troubleshooting Issue: No Blue Conn Light

When connecting the Accsense A2-05 LAN-Wired pod for the first time, the blue Connection LED should begin flashing early in the process. It should then light up solidly when the Accsense server has received a successful transmission. However if the LED never lights up, or if a white or yellow Stat 1 LED remains lit through the startup process, then this condition indicates one of two problems:

  1. The first possibility is that the unit is not successfully obtaining an IP address from the DHCP server. In this case, your IT technician may need to assign a static IP to the Accsense monitor by using the Remote Gateway Configuration Utility. This utility program is available for download at www.accsense.com. We at Accsense recommend that you call our Tech Support hotline at 440-729-2570 for assistance with this process.
  2. The second possibility is that Port 443 is not open and available through your firewall to the Accsense monitoring unit. This will require an exception in your firewall setup. However if your IT Technician has reservations about granting this, he or she may wish to call our Accsense Technical Support line so that we can provide documentation of the Accsense security features.

Finally, if neither of these measures is successful in getting your Accsense unit connected, please call Accsense Technical Support at 440-729-2570 for further assistance.
