GD47 Air Quality Transmitter

eltek GD47 air quality transmitter for GEN II data logging systems

GD47 Air Quality Transmitter

The Eltek GD47 is a self contained transmitter for air quality measurements. It collects temperature, humidity and CO2 measurements and sends them wirelessly to a receiver for storage, display and alarming. The GD47 has an LCD to provide local real-time display of measured values. It uses a self calibration NDIR (infrared) sensor for accurate CO2 measurements in the range of 0-5000 ppm. The GD47 is powered by an external 12V supply with an internal NiMH back-up battery that can provide up to 100 hours of operation. The GD47 is one of more than two dozen models of transmitters with versions for temperature, humidity, voltage, current, state/pulse, light and air pressure.

Measured data is transmitted via a proprietary wireless link to one of several receivers:

  • RX250AL – Wireless receiver with local storage for up to 250,000 readings and alarm output
  • RC250 – Wireless receiver with serial data output for connection to a computer
  • WSR – Wireless receiver with analog output

Depending on the transmitter frequency and environment, the typical wireless range can be several hundred feet to almost a mile. Repeaters are available to extend the range.

RTR-500 Series Wireless Data Logger

CAS Dataloggers is pleased to announce the new RTR-500 family of wireless data loggers from TandD Corporation of Japan. These data loggers give you the ability to monitor temperature and humidity virtually anywhere via a built in GSM/GPRS Cellular Modem in the RTR-500GSM base station.  The individual loggers communicate with the base station via a high speed short range 900 MHz wireless network. Then, data and alarms are automatically sent from the base station via email or ftp via the standard cell phone network.

The RTR-500 family currently includes:

  • RTR-500 USB Base Station/Repeater
  • RTR-500GSM Base Station with GSM/GPRS modem
  • RTR-501 Temperature Data Logger with internal sensor
  • RTR-502 Temperature Data Logger with external sensor
  • RTR-503 Temperature and Humidity Data Logger

They offer improved performance over the current RTR-5 series including increased short range wireless range (up to 500 feet), faster download speed and longer battery life, (up to 4 years in the high capacity models).

The new RTR-500GSM Cellular Base Station is the heart of the system. It can automatically download data from up to 20 individual data loggers. The base station also provides real-time monitoring of the data loggers for alarm conditions and can then send the alarm notification via email or SMS. The RTR-500GSM can be powered from an external 8-34 VDC source and features an internal battery backup. It also provides a set of alarm contacts for local notification. An optional GPS can be attached to the RTR-500GSM for location tracking. A new software set-up wizard simplifies the GSM network configuration of the base station.

The RTR-500 family is ideal for monitoring temperature and humidity in locations where LAN connections are not available or practical such as trucks transporting perishable goods, remote storage or warehouse locations and environmental monitoring.

Delphin TopMessage Data Logger

TopMessage – industrial data acquisition and data logging

Delphin TopMessage Data Logger

Delphin TopMessage

The TopMessage from Delphin is a very versatile data loggers/data acquisition system that satisfies the needs of a range of different applications. It has a modular design that is flexible and can grow over time as application requirements change. The master unit can be fitted with two I/O modules and can be extended with up to 10 slave devices with two I/O modules each; the system has a capacity to process up to 1,000 channels. Depending on the application the customer can chose from 9 different I/O modules with analog and digital inputs and outputs to fit the specific requirements.

The differential analog inputs are electrically isolated from one another for high accuracy measurements. They offer integrated signal conditioning for thermocouples, RTD sensors, mV, mA and digital signals. Sensor scaling and configuration is done via the DataServiceConfiguration software. The measurements are stored directly in engineering units such as PSI, Gal/min., ft/sec., °F.

TopMessage systems use an Ethernet interface making it very easy to integrate them within an existing company network and to allow data access from various PCs. The TopMessage can be easily integrated to other third parties devices via a variety of available interfaces including 2 serial ports with RS232, 422, 485, Modbus RTU and TCP (Master & Salve), Profibus-DP Slave, OPC Client & Server, OCX or LabView driver. The serial ports can be individually configured to process any serial protocol.

The power of the TopMessage is that all settings are configured via menus and that no programming is required. It provides 100 different internal calculation channels which can be linked to create complex mathematical and logical functions. Integrated alarm management functions provide email or SMS notification.

ProfiSignal software for analysis and evaluation

The TopMessage data logger is supplied with the ProfiSignal software suite. This is a complete SCADA system for industrial applications, monitoring, quality assurance, test bench

automation, lifecycle testing, vibration monitoring and analysis. The software enables users to create their own automated applications and test sequences by picking commands from a list box. The software also has configurable parameter screens to store and load recipe files for various tests. ProfiSignal enables access to historical data at speeds and provides a smooth

transition between online and offline evaluation. For evaluation purposes, Yt, Yx, orbit, FFT and logic analysis diagrams are provided. With the reporting module, reports with trends, graphs and tables can be created for quality assurance and R&D requirements. ProfiSignal Klicks provides an extremely effective solution for the visualisation and user-friendly management of testing procedures. A ModuleView allows for different parts of a process to be broken down and graphically structured (e.g. as sequence, parallel and event blocks). These can then be linked together as procedures or process chains.
