Wireless Gateway
The B1-06 Gateway is the connection between your data and the internet. The B1-06 Wireless Gateway sends all of your data to either our secure servers or as a local ASCII stream which you can incorporate into your own custom software. Data stored online can be downloaded as a CSV file and loaded into most database applications. Additionally, our servers can send out phone, text or email alerts (with Premium Subscription) to inform designated staff the moment that a reading falls out of range.
Accsense IT Requirements Overview
Accsense requires a RJ45 Ethernet connection with open internet access--that’s all!
By default, the Accsense gateway is set to acquire its IP address dynamically from a DHCP server. Users can configure a static IP address using the Remote Gateway Configuration utility.
The communication from the gateway is only outbound; therefore the Accsense gateway does not require an external IP address or an opening in a corporate firewall. However, the Accsense gateway has no support for proxy servers and cannot act as a proxy client. In environments where proxy servers are used, the customer must setup a router to act as the proxy client for the Accsense gateway.
The communication between the Accsense gateway and the internet servers is done using the HTTPS protocol over port 443, the same as secure web traffic. The communication is encrypted using SSL, the same technology used for transmitting credit card information over the web.
The wireless communications employed by Accsense are 2.4GHz, but different frequencies and protocols from WiFi, thus it will not cause interference nor is it an opening for attackers to gain access to a corporate network. For more information see the Accsense Wireless Coexistence and Accsense Security documents.
Real-time Monitoring & Alarming

Updated in real-time, you can plot measurement history, analyze tabular data, and set alarms to watch your data and provide email, pager, or cell phone alerts. Alarms are also sent in cases of power or internet outages. All this functionality is ideal for critical applications including temperature monitoring for medical storage, cleanroom monitoring for pressure, and many more.
