Data Loggers for Storage Temperature Monitoring
Improper refrigeration is a leading cause of lost vaccine. When vaccines aren’t maintained at the proper temperature (commonly 2-8°C), they quickly lose their potency so that children are at risk for infectious diseases. The CDC’s 2014 Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit states that the surest way to avoid losing these valuable vaccine supplies is to use a temperature monitoring system for every medical storage unit.
The Accsense Vaccine Storage Temperature Monitoring Kit provides an ideal solution for temperature monitoring and alarming needs for health clinics, health departments, hospital pharmacies and other facilities. Our kits come in both WiFi and LAN wired versions allowing you to continually monitor temperature in a refrigerator or freezer and also providing customized alarming and data storage. With inputs for 2 RTDs and a thermocouple, the flexible Accsense A2-05 pod is a cost-effective way to monitor vaccine storage units, regular and ultralow freezers, and even liquid nitrogen chambers.
The included Compact RTD probe monitors temperature from +100° to -100°C at high accuracy. The kit also includes a glycol buffer vial. The probe is small enough to fit inside medical fridges and freezers so it’s easy to place for reliable readings.
An Accsense Online Monitoring Subscription includes your choice of SMS text messaging, emails, pages, and sequentially-dialed voice messages. Accsense allows you to design custom callout lists for each monitoring point, and several alarm levels and contacts are supported. You can also receive alarms and view data online from your mobile device. Alarms originate from a remote server system with redundant power, so if your facility’s power or internet service fails, you will immediately receive an alarm notification. Only Accsense offers this capability!
