Accsense Electrocorder Logs Voltage/Current and more!
The Accsense Electrocorder EC-7VAR Three-phase Datalogger Kit is ideal for energy audits to validate HVAC system performance. While other products on the market charge extra for current clamps and memory, this energy auditing kit includes the three-phase logger itself along with voltage leads, transducers, and a USB lead for quick connectivity. The kit also includes FREEanalysis software for data interpretation, enabling users to define the voltage to plot power and energy, then simply upload the recorded data via USB to a PC. Three-Phase Logger Performs Energy Audits:
The EC-7VAR Three-Phase Voltage and Current Logger are electrical logging devices monitoring and recording Power/Energy, Current/Voltage, Power Quality, Power Factor and more. For just a low-cost investment, users can find and prove the value of energy savings from installed HVAC systems.
The logger records voltage on 3 channels, up to 500Vac and loads up to 3kAac (model-dependent). The dual-range model of the EC-7VAR has three current channels complete with two user-selectable current ranges of 4Aac to 400Aac and of 20Aac to 3kAac.
When only a single-phase voltage supply is available, users can instead set the EC-7VAR to monitor and record 3-phase energy using its 3 current inputs and a single phase voltage input. At single phase, the logger records at a range of 30V-300V.
For protection from dust and splashes, this durable logger is rated at IP43 and is also available in an even more rugged IP65 and NEMA 12/4 versions.
The EC-7VAR is supplied as part of a cost-effective energy audit kit which includes the datalogger itself, 4 voltage leads, 3 Rogowski coils, a USB lead for easy data retrieval, free software, and a convenient carrying case. The included Rogowski coils fit around 140mm diameter cables andbreak open at their black joints so users can put them around the cables without needing to break the main circuit.
The Accsense Advantage:
Why is Accsense Electrocorder better than other similarly priced competitors? Accsense Electrocorder products use a constant sampling technique, unlike the single ‘snapshot’ reading of competing devices. When these loggers start to record, they sample every channel 16 times per cycle (a cycle being 16ms at 60Hz and 20ms at 50Hz).
At the end of each averaging period, 3 quantities are saved for each channel, the True RMS average, the Max, which is the highest cycle value during the period and the Min, the lowest cycle value. This means that our energy loggers will record all the peaks and valleys which are one cycle or longer.
FREE Electrosoft software is also provided in the kit. Electrosoft allows you to graph and export data files as well as plot energy costs and savings using voltage optimization techniques. These features are ideal since many energy system financiers request proof of savings in the form of collected data and reports.
What Does Our Latest Customer Have to Say?
“The software’s extremely easy to walk through for configuration and looking at the voltage data. Currently I’m renting it out to our customer so it’s already earning its keep. I’m very impressed with its speed and I plan on picking up another model next. As a professional electronic technician who appreciates great test gear, I can say that this logger will be a great tool in my quiver.” – Lu Green, Owner of Osage Energies
