CAS DataLoggers is pleased to introduce the new LogBox 3G wireless data logger from Novus Automation.
The LogBox 3G is the second model in the LogBox Connect family of wireless data loggers. It is targeted at mobile monitoring and remote telemetry applications. Data can be accessed remotely through the Novus cloud or another SCADA application or on a local PC via the NXperience software.
The design of the LogBox 3G makes it easy to connect to most common sensors. It has two universal analog inputs which accept direct connection from thermocouples, Pt100 RTD temperature sensors or other sensors with 4-20mA or voltage outputs. It also provides one digital input which can record events such as opening a door or can count pulses from a device like a flow meter. An optional GPS can be used to collect location information in mobile applications.
A key feature of the LogBox 3G is its integrated 3G modem that can upload data via the cellular network to the NOVUS cloud, SCADA or other cloud based systems. The Novus cloud is an internet portal that allows storage and display of temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, geolocation or other measurements. The LogBox 3G can also send alarm notifications via SMS messages to other mobile devices. A built-in USB interface allows connection to a PC using the NXperience software for configuration and local data collection. The NXperience Windows application offers a powerful tool for visualization, data analysis and reporting.
Key Features of the LogBox 3G Include:
- 3 Line LCD display
- Internal storage for 140,000 data points
- Battery or external power
- 2 Analog and 1 digital inputs
- 1 Digital output
- Local high and low alarm limits
- Audible alarm output
- Removable connectors
The LogBox 3G is designed for applications that requires accuracy in monitoring and recording data, such as transportation of temperature sensitive items, climate control in green houses and agricultural applications and remote telemetry for utility and environmental monitoring.
