CAS Dataloggers is pleased to announce the new ADS-410 Wireless Sensor Node from Infinite Informatics Ltd. The ADS-410 uses the Itron Milli 5 wireless module for the connectivity to the Gen5 Network. The ADS-410 is a battery-powered end node that offers 1 analog and 1 digital input plus support for serial communications with digital sensors using the popular SDI-12 and MODBUS protocols. It also provides two excitation options for external sensors and an internal battery gauge to intelligently monitor cumulative energy consumption.
The Itron Gen5 Network is used by cities and utilities to provide the wireless connective fabric between critical infrastructure devices and backend applications such as automatic meter reading (AMR), street light monitoring, and control and infrastructure monitoring. The ADS-410 enables periodic capture and data transmission of custom sensor data via this network for advanced analysis and applications.
It also provides user-defined scaling and alarm limits, alarm messages, and periodic health messages for verifying unit availability. The ADS-410 is targeted at custom and specialized applications within the network such as weather and environmental monitoring, distribution monitoring, resource management, infrastructure monitoring, and fault detection.
