CAS Dataloggers is pleased to introduce the release of a second model in the Influx ReXgen product line, the new ReXgen 2 IMU. This model provides enhanced motion capture by including a 6 axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and GNSS chip. By acquiring accelerometer and gyroscope data at high speed, and combining it with position data from GNSS, it provides the most accurate movement and position data available at a very affordable cost.
By fusing together IMU and GNSS data, along with recording CAN network data, the ReXgen 2 IMU offers unmatched capabilities for:
- Tracking the journey of a vehicle when satellite signals aren’t available
- Measuring vehicle tilt, yaw, and driving behavior Collision analysis
The ReXgen 2 IMU is targeted at applications that require capturing CAN 2.0, CAN FD, and LIN messages without needing to be connected to a computer. It’s designed to be fitted on your product during the development and eventually even production, continuously capturing data and events. And, the ReXgen 2 IMU is not only for automobiles, it has also been used in the aviation industry as an intelligent black box recorder.
Every detail of the ReXgen 2 recorders has been considered to ensure Influx’s product can be trusted in CAN networks. Influx’s rigorous testing reports that unlike other CAN loggers they handle 99.9% of the vehicle network traffic with no data loss.
The ReXgen 2 IMU is supplied with ReXdesk, a freely distributable general-purpose configuration and data view application for Windows®. This software is designed to support ReXgen through its entire lifetime, with tools for:
