TandD Rolls Out Updated WebStorage Service Website

WebStorage Service Website Gives Access to Data Anytime, Anywhere

We are very pleased to announce that TandD has completely reworked their WebStorage Service website. The updates include several changes to the user interface to make it much easier to use. You will find that it is also quite mobile-friendly too!  There is also additional support for devices and new features and functions.

The user interface has gone through an extensive update starting with an enhanced main dashboard page. The dashboard page has a simple start-up guide to walk you through the process of starting up a new device. There is also a new watch list view that allows you to immediately see the most recent data for up to 6 devices.

The data view page has a new cluster view which allows a mix of devices to be logically grouped together by place or purpose to make it easier to find the data you are looking for. The alert view page has been enhanced with separate tabs that allow you to see current alarm status, both active and recovered, historical alarm records and watchdog communications alarms

The account management page has been completely redesigned to make it much easier to navigate and change settings. The data download page has been updated to make it easier to retrieve data from the WebStorage Service website. You can now browse data by file or by-product. The interface allows you to select an individual file or all files by product. When you do a bulk download of multiple files, the data is sent in a .zip archive rather than individual files to make it easier to manage.

In addition to the user interface updates, there have been some very useful changes to the underlying functionality of the WebStorage Service. First, the device Watchdog communications loss timeout can now be set as low as 2 hours – previously 6 hours was the soonest you could choose for notification of a communication loss from a device. Another major enhancement is the addition of support for alarm notification through the WSS for RTR-500 and TR-700W family loggers. This provides an alternative for users of these devices that had issues with alerting because of difficulty connecting to encrypted SMTP servers.

Finally, for power users, there is a new API to allow data retrieval directly from the WebStorage Service with a user-created application. The API supports capturing current readings from the TR-7wf/nw, TR4, RTR-500 and TR-700 devices. It also allows graph data, either current graph or latest 300 readings, from the TR-7wf/nw and TR4 loggers to be pulled in either JSON or CSV format.
