Description

The ADU-700 is a low power data concentrator for the ProfiSens wireless sensor end nodes. It can operate autonomously using an internal battery or via an external power supply with an uninterruptible transition to battery operation during a power outage. The ADU-700 incorporates a 3G, GSM/GPRS modem and supports periodic data transmission via FTP and alerting via SMS.

It can support up to 32 wireless sensor nodes and a total of 64 measurements. A D-size Lithium Thionyl battery can provide autonomous operation for over 5 years. Packaged in a rugged IP66 rated housing and offering an extended operating temperature range, it is suitable for use outside. It also features 4 digital inputs for monitoring the state of local signals.

The ADU-700 Advantage

The wireless gateway incorporates the common flexible form factor (HL, CF3™) Modem modules of Sierra Wireless. OEM versions of ADU-700 can now virtually support any LPWA, 4G, 3G, 2G mobile network technology.

SMS announcements include alert messages and periodical Status messages for verifying unit availability. The unit supports discrete alerting for several users. Message texts are user-definable.

The unit can be programmed locally through the serial port or remotely via SMS by using simple ASCII configuration commands. The command set features commands for configuring alarm parameters, alarm limits, timing parameters, and defining user groups. ADU-700 can be remotely reconfigured by sending configuration commands to the unit during the periodical status message processing
