Temperature Data Acquisition Systems

These temperature data acquisition systems can be expanded to measure up to 700 temperature inputs. In addition to temperature, they can be configured with voltage/current inputs, digital I/O, and counters/frequency inputs. This provides the flexibility to allow these systems to be used in many different type of projects including equipment test stands, component testing, quality assurance, reliability testing, and R&D. For real-time monitoring, configuration and data retrieval, a variety of communications options are available including USB, Ethernet and WiFi.

An important factor to consider in selecting temperature data acquisition systems is the type of sensor that will be used. Another important factor is the measurement speed. Systems are available which provide sample rates of 100’s or 1000’s of samples/second. However, depending on the sensor type, the output signal can be a very small voltage. In environments where there is electrical noise from equipment like motors, welders or other equipment it is often necessary to use averaging or filtering to obtain accurate, repeatable measurements. It should be noted that this is not a limitation of the temperature data acquisition system but rather the sensor, wiring and the electrical environment.
